Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced MMJ/reporter for KDVR/FOX31 and KWGN/CW2 in Denver. You will pursue lead stories, bring ideas to meetings, cultivate sources, and own stories across all platforms with high production value.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in television news, a college degree, and the ability to multi-task under deadline pressure. Flexible schedule required, including mornings, weekends, and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• College degree in Journalism/Communications/Broadcasting preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years’ journalist experience, at least 3 years as an MMJ.
• Must be accurate, quick problem-solver under deadlines.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, holidays, weekends & on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Pitch unique stories that will drive ratings.
• Develop and execute enterprise content consistently.
• Cover breaking news with urgency.
• Establish and maintain community sources.
• Produce content for website and digital channels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
