Job summary

Nexstar Media Group Inc. in Denver is seeking an experienced MMJ/reporter to join KDVR/FOX31 and KWGN/CW2.

You will lead with strong storytelling, develop enterprise content, and deliver promotable reports across all platforms, including live shots and breaking news. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in television news, a college degree in journalism or related field, and the ability to manage deadlines, multitask, and build reliable sources.

Qualifications

• College degree in Journalism/Communications/Broadcasting preferred; equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a journalist (MMJ experience required).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, holidays, weekends & on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Pitch unique stories that will get results and drive ratings.
• Develop and execute enterprise content on a consistent basis.
• Cover breaking news with a sense of urgency.
• Establish and maintain relationships/sources in the community.
• Produce content for our website and digital channels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
