Job summary

KMGH, The E.W. Scripps Company ABC affiliate in Denver, Colorado, is seeking an Executive Reporter who will lead our mission to enhance storytelling and mentor reporters and MMJs to reach their full potential.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the narrative of our community while guiding a team across on-air and digital platforms, ensuring high journalistic standards and ethical practices.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in related discipline preferred, or equivalent years of experience.
• Generally, 7+ years of experience in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and enhance storytelling skills of reporters and MMJs.
• Collaborate with newsroom leaders to execute content strategy through storytelling.
• Oversee writing of stories for all platforms; provide timely feedback.
• Develop and supervise workflow strategies for multiple news programs.
• Ensure content adheres to journalistic standards and ethics.
• Deliver vision and build trust among reporters and staff.
• May provide on-air, multi-platform coverage for breaking news.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
