Our client, a leader in advanced technology development, is seeking a Lead Reliability Engineer to join their team. As a Lead Reliability Engineer, you will be part of the Reliability Engineering Department supporting the development of next-generation quantum computing technologies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, innovative thinking, and excellent collaboration abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Lead Reliability Engineer
Pay Range: $150,000 - $185,000/year
What's the Job?
- Define and lead reliability strategies for emerging technologies with limited historical data and evolving architectures.
- Develop reliability analyses at the system, subsystem, and component levels, incorporating test campaigns and published results.
- Collaborate with design, test, and manufacturing teams to ensure reliability is integrated from the earliest concept stages.
- Create accelerated stress test plans and develop novel characterization methods for first-of-kind technologies.
- Communicate risks, findings, and recommendations clearly to engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, physics, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in reliability analysis of complex products or systems, especially involving optical and electronic technologies.
- Hands‑on experience with reliability test equipment, environmental stress methods, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, reliability prediction tools, and design‑for‑reliability methodologies.
- Strong communication skills and ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments with incomplete data.
