Job description

We are looking for an Advanced Electrical Engineer to design and enhance the control system for our next‑generation quantum computers at our Broomfield, CO location.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform circuit design, analysis, measurement, and test.
• Lead small design team to complete projects with first pass success.
• Successfully complete projects on‑time with limited supervision.
• Perform first article testing in the lab for new designs.
• Work in a new product development environment.
• Design products using DFx best practices.
• Knowledge in ADC/DACs, amplifiers, passive/active filtering, analog control loops, low‑noise design techniques and measurements.
• Schematic entry and board layout experience (Altium PCB software preferred).
• Model and simulate complex circuitry and validate the model with hardware measurements.
• Work closely with cross‑functional team including mechanical, software, optical engineers and scientists to develop analog electronics for use in our quantum computers.
• Experience with laboratory test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree minimum.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the specification, development, and test of analog electronic products.
• Must be a U.S. Person defined as U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status.
• Must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless also a U.S. citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of industry experience in an engineering or R&D environment.
• Discrete transistor design experience is a plus.
• Proven leadership ability that includes program execution and skills development and mentoring of other engineers and technicians.
• Ability to consistently demonstrate decisive business impact and continuous drive for improvement in an ambiguous environment.
• Strong communication skills and concise design documentation.
• Digital, FPGA, and SW experience is a plus but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

The pay range for this role is $116,000 – $145,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate's skills, education, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
