Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to orchestrate the end-to-end release lifecycle for native mobile apps (iOS and Android) and backend services.

You will bridge Product and Engineering, driving high-quality, reliable releases with proactive stakeholder engagement. You will own release calendars, coordinate scopes across teams, manage App Store/Play submissions, and enforce robust versioning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing mobile release lifecycles (iOS/Android)
• Proficient in release automation and CI/CD
• Strong written and verbal English with proactive stakeholder management
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams (Product, Eng, QA, Ops)
• Familiarity with feature flags in production environments

Responsibilities

• Own and manage release calendar for iOS, Android, and backend platforms
• Coordinate release scope with Product Managers, Eng Leads, QA and Ops
• Align priorities, timelines and dependencies across teams
• Facilitate release readiness reviews and go/no-go decisions
• Oversee end-to-end release execution: build, test, deploy
• Coordinate App Store and Google Play submissions
• Manage backend releases compatible with mobile versions
• Enforce versioning, tagging and branching strategies
• Execute and coordinate production releases for apps and services
• Own production feature flag planning, enabling, disabling and monitoring
• Support incidents related to deployments and feature flags
• Follow deployment checklists and release runbooks, assist rollbacks

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Lead DevOps Engineer to oversee the end-to-end release lifecycle of native mobile applications (iOS and Android) and supporting backend services.
