Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. seeks a Chief Release Engineer (Mobile - iOS, Android & Backend) to lead predictable, high-quality releases across platforms. You will connect Product and Engineering, orchestrating CI/CD-driven build, test, and deployment workflows with clear stakeholder communication.

You will own the release calendar, coordinate scope with Product/QA/Ops, ensure versioning and branching discipline, and drive production releases and feature flags with incident support as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing mobile release lifecycles (iOS & Android).
• Hands-on with mobile CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
• Proven ability to coordinate across Product, Engineering and QA teams.
• Strong communication skills and proactive stakeholder management.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Own release calendar across iOS, Android, and backend platforms.
• Coordinate release scope with Product, Eng, QA, and Ops teams.
• Ensure versioning, tagging, and branching strategies are followed.
• Lead release readiness reviews and go/no-go decisions.
• Oversee end-to-end release execution including build, test, and deployment.
• Coordinate submissions to App Store and Google Play; manage backend releases.
• Maintain production feature flags and incident responses related to releases.
