Job summary

Caregiver Inc. in Carrollton, TX is seeking a Lead Registered Nurse to oversee nursing operations, develop staff, and ensure high-quality, person-centered care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

The role requires leading RNs and LVNs/LPNs, coordinating staffing, and serving as a clinical resource across interdisciplinary teams, with emphasis on compliance and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership position in a IDD-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (multi-state preferred if applicable).
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required (BSN preferred).
• 3+ years of clinical nursing experience.
• 1+ year supporting IDD, developmental disabilities, or long-term care populations.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with documentation systems (EHR) and Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to manage priorities, travel locally, and respond to urgent needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to RNs and LVNs/LPNs.

• Step in to provide direct clinical support when needed.
• Review assessments, care plans, and documentation for accuracy and compliance.

• Lead audits, incident reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and organizational standards.
• Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of nursing staff.
