Job summary

Jefferson Dental & Orthodontics in Austin, TX is seeking a Lead Registered Dental Assistant (LRDA) to supervise a fast-paced back-office team and deliver a 5-star patient experience. Under the Doctor's guidance, you will chairside assist, manage supplies, and help train colleagues.

The role requires active RDA certification, at least one year in a dental office, and availability to work Saturdays. Expect competitive hourly pay and a supportive team focused on quality care and community outreach.

Qualifications

• Active RDA certification and license required at time of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of dental office experience.
• Minimum 1 year of patient care or customer service experience preferred.
• Must be able to work Saturdays and have reliable transportation.
• Eligibility to work 18+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Chairside assistance and patient care during dental procedures.
• Record patient medical history and maintain charting.
• Prepare and organize instruments and materials for procedures.
• Administer topical anesthetics and assist with treatments.
• Assist dentist during treatments by handing instruments.
• Educate patients on dental care practices.
• Create temporary crowns and assist with preparations.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and sterilize equipment.
• Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and staff scheduling.
• Support back-office and front-office tasks as needed.
