Job summary

Hussmann is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose and repair refrigeration, heating, and air-conditioning systems in supermarkets, convenience stores, and cold storage facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, support start-ups of new equipment, manage parts and paperwork, and collaborate with other technicians.

EPA 608 Universal Certification is preferred; willingness to work nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• HVAC-R technical degree preferred.
• External candidates: 10 years field experience or 7 years with technical school certification.
• Internal candidates: 7 years experience with OJT & Skills Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Perform prescribed maintenance procedures on supermarket refrigeration systems and merchandisers.
• Partner with other technicians for start-up of new refrigeration equipment.
• Resolve customer warranty issues rapidly and accurately.
• Lead HVAC/R PM programs and act as a technical resource to others.
• Assist service management in providing material and labor estimates for bids.
• Complete documents and communicate electronically in a thorough, timely manner.
