Job summary

CoolSys is seeking a Refrigeration Foreman to lead field teams in installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. You will coordinate schedules, oversee troubleshooting, and support energy-efficient solutions for clients across North America.

In this role, you will interpret drawings and electrical schematics, ensure safety compliance, and mentor junior technicians while collaborating with engineering and asset-management teams to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Experience leading refrigeration field teams.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Familiar with OSHA and EPA safety standards.
• Experience with troubleshooting HVACR systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise refrigeration technicians on commercial and industrial projects.
• Coordinate daily work assignments, schedules, and resources.
• Perform installation, startup, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Interpret construction drawings and piping diagrams for installations.
• Ensure OSHA/EPA safety standards and conduct toolbox talks.
• Oversee refrigerant handling, recovery, evacuation and charging.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and asset teams.
• Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to codes.
• Interface with customers on-site to report status and opportunities.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate junior technicians.
• Assist with estimating labor and materials, and document work.
