The Senior Recruiter at Megawatt Solutions plays a pivotal role in building and scaling the organization’s workforce in the rapidly expanding hyperscale data center construction sector.
This individual will be responsible for developing and executing recruiting strategies for positions across operations, field, and preconstruction teams. The Senior Recruiter will partner closely with hiring managers and leadership to understand workforce needs, identify and attract high-quality talent, and ensure a strong candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.
A strong understanding of low voltage cabling, data center construction, and the skilled trades and professional talent required to support hyperscale projects is essential for success in this role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Talent Acquisition: Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates for positions across operations, field, and preconstruction, including project managers, estimators, superintendents, foremen, project engineers, and skilled field personnel.
- Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage the recruiting process from initial sourcing and candidate engagement through interviews, offer negotiation, and onboarding, ensuring an efficient and
- Candidate Sourcing: Proactively identify and engage passive candidates through LinkedIn, professional networks, industry contacts, referrals, job boards, and other recruiting channels.
- Hiring Manager Partnership: Partner closely with hiring managers and leadership to understand staffing requirements, develop effective recruiting strategies, establish candidate profiles, and provide regular updates on recruiting activity and competitive recruiting activity within the data center construction and low voltage cabling
- Candidate Assessment: Conduct initial candidate screenings and interviews to evaluate technical experience, leadership capabilities, cultural alignment, and overall fit for MWS positions.
- Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and anticipated hiring needs, with particular focus on talent supporting hyperscale data center projects.
- Employer Branding: Represent MWS professionally throughout the recruiting process and communicate the company’s projects, culture, career opportunities, and growth trajectory to prospective candidates.
- Recruiting Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely records of recruiting activity, candidate pipelines, interview status, offers, and hiring metrics within the company’s applicant tracking system or recruiting platform.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage candidates, hiring managers, field leadership, and executive leadership.
- Recruiting Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously, prioritize competing hiring needs, and consistently deliver qualified candidates in a fast-paced
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of data center construction, low voltage cabling, structured cabling, telecommunications, or related construction environments.
- Sourcing Acumen: Demonstrated success identifying and attracting both active and passive candidates through direct sourcing, networking, referrals, and other recruiting channels.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple requisitions, candidates, interviews, and hiring processes simultaneously.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience, with experience recruiting for construction, data centers, low voltage, electrical, telecommunications, or related technical industries strongly preferred.
- Recruiting Experience: Demonstrated experience recruiting across multiple levels of an organization, including professional, operational, and field-based positions.
- Industry Experience: Familiarity with hyperscale data center environments, structured cabling, low voltage systems, or mission-critical construction is highly preferred.
- Employment History: Demonstrated history of successfully filling complex and high-volume positions while developing strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates.
