Job summary

The BridgeWay in Arkansas is seeking a dedicated Recreational Therapist Manager to lead therapeutic recreation programs for diverse populations, including seniors and patients in mental health care. You will oversee a team of therapists and activity specialists, developing innovative, evidence-based activities to improve physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Requirements include CTRS certification, Arkansas driver’s license, and completion of HIPAA-compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• CTRS certification required; Arkansas driver’s license required.
• Handle with Care and CPR certifications, or must obtain within 3 weeks of hire, onsite.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive recreational therapy programs for patients aged 6-17.
• Lead and supervise a team of recreational therapists and activity coordinators with mentorship and performance reviews.
• Conduct patient assessments to tailor personalized treatment plans utilizing various modalities.
• Coordinate with nursing, mental health professionals, case managers, and families to ensure holistic care.
• Manage medical documentation and HIPAA compliance for records.
• Oversee intake procedures and monitor progress using data collection tools.
• Facilitate de-escalation techniques during crises to maintain safety.
• Grow programs aligned with best practices in mental health and senior care.
