Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Specialist, Accounting on the Reconciliation Assurance team in Columbus, OH. This role focuses on complex accounting, regulatory reporting, and high-volume balance sheet reconciliation activities, with hybrid work and on-site presence required two days per week.

You will lead financial data analysis, prepare statements, and support external audits while driving continuous improvement and effective collaboration with business partners and controllership teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration; accounting major preferred.
• Progress toward CPA is preferred.
• Four to six years of related accounting experience; insurance experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex accounting functions, prepare financial statements and regulatory reports.
• Analyze data, interpret results and communicate findings to management.
• Support audits, prepare pro forma data and consolidate entities.
• Develop new processes and improve workflows with accuracy.
