Job summary

Opensity Solutions seeks a Lead Receptionist/Concierge to oversee front desk operations and deliver exemplary service to clients, guests, and staff in a fast-paced setting. You will supervise up to five receptionists, coordinate schedules, and ensure a professional, welcoming experience.

You will report to the Client Relations Manager or Director, guiding communications and visitor management, while supporting meetings and office administration.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma required; college degree highly preferred.
  • Experience: 3–6+ years in receptionist, front desk, concierge, or admin roles; leadership experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); visitor management systems; scheduling and calendar tools.
  • Strong front desk and guest relations skills; professional communication and multitasking ability.

Job Description

The Lead Receptionist/Concierge is responsible for overseeing front desk operations and delivering a high standard of customer service to clients, guests, and employees. This role supervises a team of up to five reception staff, ensuring efficient front desk coverage, strong client relations, and consistent communication across the organization. The position reports to the Client Relations Manager or Client Relations Director and is classified as Non-Exempt.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Supervise, train, and mentor reception staff to ensure consistent service quality and team performance
  • Develop and manage reception schedules to ensure appropriate front desk coverage
  • Oversee daily front desk operations, including greeting visitors and managing incoming calls
  • Ensure all guests and clients receive a professional, welcoming, and efficient experience
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client and visitor inquiries and service requests
  • Coordinate internal and external communication, ensuring accurate and timely message delivery
  • Manage appointment scheduling, visitor logs, and front desk traffic flow
  • Provide administrative support including mail distribution, filing, and office supply management
  • Support coordination of meetings, conferences, and events, including room and resource setup
  • Monitor building access and enforce security and visitor management protocols
  • Respond to and elevate security or emergency situations as needed
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members
  • Support continuous improvement of front desk processes and service delivery standards

Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma required; college degree highly preferred
  • Experience: 3–6+ years of experience in receptionist, front desk, concierge, or administrative support roles, including prior experience in a lead or supervisory capacity preferred.

The Compensation range for this role is $34.00 to $36.00 USD per hour. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
