Job summary

Forman Mills is seeking a Department Lead for the Receiving department to ensure merchandise presentation, signing, pricing and inventory accuracy per directives. You will mentor staff and coordinate with management to deliver a courteous shopping experience.

The role requires flexible hours, strong math and cash-handling skills, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Previous cashier experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience: Cashier experience preferred but not required
• Strong math and ability to count money and give accurate change
• Excellent People Skills

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and thank customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Train and develop all team members assigned in department operations.
• Maintain merchandise presentation as directed by store management.
• Verify signing on fixtures and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Coordinate floor plans and moves safely to prevent injuries.
• Ensure new freight is presented within 24 hours of receiving it.
• Communicate priorities with receiving to feature hot items.
• Update store management and district on selling/non-selling merchandise.
• Deter theft by reporting dishonest behavior to management or loss prevention.
