Job summary

Versant Media is seeking a versatile Real-Time Graphics Artist to lead end-to-end creation for live production in news and business markets. The role blends 3D Generalist skills with Vizrt and Unreal Engine expertise, including scripting and pipeline development.

You will manage a team of creators, optimize scenes for performance, and push hyper photorealistic visuals across live broadcasts and large-scale displays. Hybrid role.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in 3D and real-time production, with at least 2 years in sports/entertainment.
• Proficient with Vizrt and Unreal Engine in production environments.
• Basic scripting within Vizrt (VB Script, HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript).
• Experience with DCC tools: Photoshop, After Effects, Maya, 3Ds Max, Cinema 4D.
• Texture work with Substance Painter/Designer and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Understanding of real-time rendering pipelines and GPU optimization.
• Experience with real-time broadcast tools like Ross Xpression, Pixotope, or Zero Density.

Responsibilities

• Vizrt and Unreal Engine: Build real-time scenes in Vizrt Artist, optimize assets.
• Develop high-fidelity environments with PBR shading and dynamic lighting.
• Create interactive logic and live data triggers using Vizrt scripting and Unreal Blueprints.
• Profile performance to ensure 60fps+ for live broadcast and video walls.
• Develop pipelines between Maya/C4D/Blender and real-time engines.
• Stay current on features like Lumen, Nanite, PCG to enhance production.
