Job summary

Nexus Semiconductor Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to own the real-time software lifecycle for power conversion and industrial equipment. You will work with microcontroller/DSP-based systems, developing firmware across drivers, integration and testing.

You'll collaborate with hardware teams, lead debugging and verification, and mentor junior engineers while taking projects from concept to commercial release in a hands-on, hardware-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' relevant engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems and microcontroller architectures.
• Programming experience with C, C++ and/or Python.
• Knowledge of SPI, I2C, USB, UART and other communication interfaces.
• Experience with embedded debugging, version control and software development tools.
• Strong understanding of software verification, integration and testing.
• Experience with real-time control systems would be a major plus.
• Background within power electronics, industrial equipment, transformers, power quality or related technology is highly desirable.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop real-time embedded software for microcontroller and DSP-based systems.
• Develop software used within power conversion and industrial power equipment.
• Work across firmware, low-level drivers, communications and system integration.
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to bring software and electronics together.
• Lead integration, debugging, verification and validation.
• Investigate challenging technical issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Support software through production, manufacturing and real-world deployment.
• Take projects from initial concept all the way through commercial release.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor developing engineers.
