Job summary

Vervint is seeking a Mobile Engineer (React Native) for a remote 4-month contract to design, develop, and deliver high-quality mobile applications. You will lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate across client and cross-functional teams throughout the software lifecycle.

Requirements include 5–7+ years in mobile development, 4+ years with React Native, and strong experience with iOS/Android native, testing tools, and modern cloud DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of professional mobile development experience, including 4+ years with React Native and 2+ years in a senior/lead role.
• Strong expertise in React Native, including Fabric, JSI, TurboModules, and Hermes.
• Experience with native iOS and Android development.
• Experience with mobile testing tools such as Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, or Maestro.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases, and cloud technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable mobile applications using React Native.
• Lead technical decisions, architecture, and project workstreams.
• Build and optimize high-performance iOS and Android applications.
• Develop native modules using Swift/Objective-C and Kotlin/Java as needed.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize application performance.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, QA, and engineering teams.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and promote development best practices.
• Create documentation and drive continuous improvement.
