Job summary

Eagle is seeking a Supervisor, Analytical Chemistry: Raw Material Testing to lead the analytical chemistry team focused on raw material testing for pharmaceutical manufacturing. The role drives quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the lab, with emphasis on regulatory compliance and data integrity.

The position involves overseeing testing activities, interpreting results, and maintaining instrument performance while ensuring SOPs and documentation meet cGMP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate in Analytical Chemistry or related science field.
• 3-4 years of direct analytical chemistry lab experience in pharmaceutical setting.
• Hands-on with sample preparative chemistry and wet chemistry analysis as per compendial procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee routine and non-routine analytical testing of raw material samples per procedures and guidelines.
• Review test results for accuracy and compliance; escalate investigations for out-of-spec results.
• Supervise maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of analytical equipment (HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, TOC, etc.).
• Ensure team proficiency with SOPs and laboratory systems for raw material analysis.
• Stay current with analytical techniques, instrumentation, and regulatory expectations in pharma.
• Lead cross-training and backup coverage to ensure uninterrupted lab operations.
• Ensure meticulous, compliant documentation of testing activities and investigations.
• Develop, revise, and review SOPs and lab documentation for raw material testing.
