Job summary

Wabtec seeks a Senior Staff Product Engineer to lead design, development and deployment of DOSE Electronic Braking technology, collaborating with Product Management, Program Management and railroad customers to deliver reliable rail solutions.

You will be the technical architect for the Electronic Braking product line, driving cradle-to-grave program execution and guiding global engineering teams to meet customer needs and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Engineering, Math, CS, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years hands-on design and requirements development experience.
• Minimum 1 year experience with Locomotive Electronic Braking Systems.
• Locomotive control systems experience.
• Experience with communication and networking systems.
• Experience in software deployment and configuration management.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, global environment and travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead future concepts and design enhancements for Transport Intelligence products.
• Support R&D strategy development for the product.
• Serve as primary customer contact for the Transport Intelligence line.
• Provide guidance on design tradeoffs during development.
• Act as technical leader across global cross-functional teams.
• Participate in project proposals and reviews.
• Collaborate with experts to develop freight automation solutions.
• Lead reviews and ensure technical quality and timely delivery.
• Interface with Global Supply Chain for parts procurement.
• Contribute to customer-facing documentation and installation guides.
• Coordinate with Locomotive Operations to deliver manufactured locomotives on time.
