Job summary

Consolidated Nuclear Security (CNS) seeks a Lead Radiological Control Technician at the Y-12 site in Oak Ridge to oversee radiological monitoring and control. This role requires coordinating RADCON coverage, supervising field technicians, and ensuring safe work practices for radiological work areas.

Qualifications

DOE RCT CORE training certification is required.
Minimum education/experience: HS diploma + 7 years radiological protection experience or applicable college degree with experience.
Experience with monitoring personnel, work areas, and items in radiological areas.

Responsibilities

Monitor personnel, areas, and items leaving radiological areas to control exposures.
Coordinate RADCON coverage with area supervisors.
Lead RCTs and train less experienced staff.
Review radiological surveys and ensure proper controls are in place.
Participate in emergency RADCON activities and incident investigations.
