Job summary

Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN seeks a Radiological Control Technician to monitor personnel and areas, select monitoring devices, and ensure exposure control. You will support field operations, conduct surveys, and assist in training RCTs as needed.

Qualifications

• DOE RCT Core Certification is required.
• Experience in radiological protection/radiography/radiology.
• Ability to perform unit conversions and express results in proper terms.
• Experience using general databases and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Monitor personnel, work areas, and items leaving radiological areas to control exposures.
• Take responsibility in absence of RCT Lead.
• Interact with Operations personnel and review daily activities.
• Determine monitoring devices, protective clothing, and stay times for workers.
• Perform field observations and conduct area contamination and radiation surveys.
