Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC seeks qualified candidates for a Radiological Control Technician (RCT) - Level 5 to support the Los Alamos Legacy Waste Cleanup project in Los Alamos, NM. You will provide critical radiological safety oversight for mission operations, perform workplace surveillance, and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities include monitoring, surveys, and air sampling, implementing work permits, and responding to radiological events.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 8 years of related experience.
• Pass DOE core 1 and DOE core 2 examinations.
• Expert knowledge of applied radiation protection principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine radiation monitoring and surveillance.
• Operate radiation survey instruments and counting equipment.
• Implement radiation protection procedures for various tasks and work.
• Respond to radiological emergencies and abnormal situations.
• Mentor junior RCTs and provide on-the-job training.
