Job summary

UVA Health is seeking a Lead Radiologic Technologist to ensure the ongoing quality, productivity, and efficiency of the radiology department. You will assist physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by preparing patients and operating imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.

The role requires ARRT in Radiography (RT(R)) certification, a high school diploma or GED, and 2 years of radiology experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 Year / Associate Degree preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology program—required.
• Minimum 2 years of diagnostic radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the radiology department for quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Assist physicians in diagnostic/therapeutic procedures and operate imaging equipment.
• Spends 90% of time in direct patient care.
