Job summary

UVA Community Health is seeking a Lead Radiologic Technologist to supervise and optimize the radiology department. The role focuses on ensuring quality, productivity, and safety while assisting physicians with diagnostic procedures and operating imaging equipment to obtain high-quality scans.

The position emphasizes hands-on patient care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, on-site duties, and on-call flexibility. A strong radiology background and ARRT certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required. 2 Year / Associate Degree Preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology program – Required.
• 2 years of experience in diagnostic radiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Radiologic Technologist will assist physicians in diagnostic/therapeutic procedures and operate imaging equipment.
• Will spend 90% of time in direct patient care.
• Ensure patient safety and workflow efficiency in radiology.
