Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• 1+ year experience as a radiation therapist.
• Registration as RT (ARRT) required.

Responsibilities

• Provides supervised education experiences for students fulfilling curriculum requirements.
• Participates in after-hours on-call coverage and maintains competency with after-hours treatment coverage.
• Assesses patients' needs and resolves potential problems or conflicts.
• Performs morning quality checks on the treatment unit and addresses equipment malfunctions.
• Mentors junior radiation therapists with training and encouragement.
• Treats patients promptly and courteously, communicating effectively with patients of all ages.
• Verifies physician prescriptions and treatment parameters daily.
• Identifies treatment volumes and positions patients consistently.
• Performs CT Simulation and administration of contrast under physician direction.
• Reviews new starts for consistency and records treatment information in EHR.
