Job summary

V2X Inc. seeks a Lead Systems Engineer to guide a cross-disciplinary team across requirements, architecture, integration, and fielding for modern radar systems. You will oversee lifecycle activities from Gate 1 through Fielding, ensuring traceability and robust design across hardware and software domains.

The role requires deep systems engineering expertise, DoD clearance, and the ability to coordinate across cybersecurity, network, and test disciplines. Travel to CONUS sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in systems engineering for complex hardware/software.
• Experience across full lifecycle: requirements to operations.
• U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of system requirements across levels.
• Define overall system architecture with multiple engineering leads.
• Maintain bidirectional traceability from objectives to design.
• Create system architecture diagrams and interface definitions.
• Lead technical trade studies and evaluate options.
• Coordinate subsystem integration across hardware, software, network, storage, OS.
• Support lab and site integration and transition to operations.
• Prepare for reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and other engineering reviews.
• Coordinate issue resolution and corrective actions.
• Support test planning, readiness, and discrepancy resolution.
• Ensure reliability, maintainability, and scalability considerations.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity to include security controls.
• Provide input to installation procedures and documentation.
• Communicate risks, assumptions, dependencies to stakeholders.
