Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA‑EMS) is seeking a Radar Systems Engineer - Resource Management Lead to shape the architecture and design of radar resource management and scheduling for advanced, multifunction radar systems. You will define how time, energy, beams, and waveforms are allocated across search, track, surveillance, and special modes in demanding environments.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a bachelors, masters, or PhD in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Strong background in systems engineering and radar engineering with leadership experience.
  • Experience in radar resource management, task scheduling, and multi‑mission radar operations.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB; Python or C/C++ is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and system‑level design of radar resource management and scheduling.
  • Develop radar schedulers allocating resources across tasks in real time.
  • Define scheduling strategies for search, track, surveillance, and special modes.
  • Design search volumes, fences, and waveform tables coordinating multiple modes.
  • Perform system trades and simulations to evaluate approaches under varying conditions.
