Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks a motivated R&D Electrical Engineer to serve as the sole System Electrical Lead for the W88 Environmental Measurement Unit team, contributing to the broader D5LE2 program. You will develop electrical diagrams and support the design, build, and testing of EMU hardware for ground and flight tests, collaborating with LANL design teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.
• Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis of electrical system architectures and detailed circuits.
• Develop, reconcile, and track requirements with interfaces and schedules.
• Plan, execute, and analyze data from experiments, modeling, and simulations.
• Integrate and test subsystems for ground and flight testing.
• Plan and execute testing for environmental, functional, and safety certification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.
