Job summary

Fujitsu Limited in Santa Clara, CA is seeking an exceptional quantum researcher to develop technologies for Fujitsu's future quantum computer hardware. The role involves theoretical and/or experimental work on superconducting quantum devices, with international collaboration and ad-hoc travel.

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in a related field and have 3+ years of post-PhD experience in superconducting circuits or cQED, with strong publications and programming skills in Python, Julia, and C++.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Quantum Information Science, Quantum Physics, Solid-State Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of academic or industry experience (after obtaining Ph.D) in theoretical or experimental research of superconducting circuits, mesoscopic physics, and/or circuit QED with strong publications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and/or improve superconducting quantum computers for fault-tolerant operation.
• Conduct theoretical and/or experimental research with interpretation of results.
• Collaborate with international teams and work at facilities in the US and Japan.
