Job summary

Google Quantum AI seeks a Senior Research Scientist to design and simulate superconducting digital logic circuits for qubit control and readout, leveraging SFQ and AQFP technologies. You will collaborate with qubit designers and cryogenic control electronics teams to optimize performance and ensure scalable integration.

Candidates hold a Master’s in EE or Physics; PhD preferred; 7+ years in R&D for superconducting logic; strong CAD/EM experience; base US salary range is $174,000–$252,000 plus

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in superconductor logic families (e.g., RSFQ, ERSFQ, RQL, HFQ, AQFP).
• Experience performing tape-out of a superconducting IC chip.
• One or more published research paper or presentation at a relevant scientific conference.

Responsibilities

• Design and simulate superconductor digital logic circuits (SFQ, AQFP) for qubit control/readout.
• Develop multiplexed qubit control/readout systems.
