Job summary

Silfab Solar in Fort Mill, South Carolina, is seeking a Quality Technician Lead Hand (Pitman Day Shift) to guide a team of Quality Technicians and ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards across all production stages.

The role develops tests, maintains data, performs analyses, and reports results to drive continuous improvement, reduce scrap, and sustain high-quality modules manufacturing in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Related post-secondary degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience as Quality Lead in high-volume manufacturing.
• Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• PV solar module manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with industry, government and company regulations.
• Oversee inspections of raw materials to finished modules.
• Create statistical analyses and reports on material quality.
• Reduce scrap through analysis and process improvements.
• Develop quality controls and Work Instructions with management.
• Maintain quality records for internal and external review.
• Monitor process performance and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure consistent finished product quality.
• Maintain defect prevention activities via FMEA and risk assessments.
• Assist in reducing production downtime.
• Perform process and management system audits.
• Apply statistics to process control, experiments or CI projects.
• Liaise with suppliers and customers; visit customer sites as needed.
• Review calibration, validation and maintenance records.
• Write QARs and train employees on processes.
