Job summary

Saint-Gobain Performance Polymer Solutions in Rhode Island is seeking a Lead Quality Technician to ensure the quality of polyimide and engineering plastic components. You will perform precise measurements using contact and non-contact tools, inspect visually, oversee calibration, incoming material inspections, and discrepancy tracking, and generate SQC and process capability reports.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience as a Quality Technician.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment; aerospace, aviation, automotive, or defense preferred.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficiency with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and optical measurement systems.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills; experience with Minitab or similar analytical software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee calibration activities and incoming material inspections.
• Create and update inspection plans and work instructions; select appropriate metrology to verify conformance to quality requirements.
• Generate customer SQC and process capability reports using Minitab or similar software.
• Train and support Quality Technicians, Inspectors, Screeners, and Shipping/Receiving personnel.
• Review quality documents for accuracy and completeness and complete required records accurately.
