Job summary

Children's Health in Dallas seeks a Manager of Quality & Patient Safety to lead the program focused on reducing variation, mitigating risk, and improving care quality. The role uses data-driven methods to identify opportunities and manages the Quality and Patient Safety staff.

The position requires substantial healthcare leadership experience, a BSN in Nursing, and a track record in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in a healthcare or clinical environment.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience or equivalent preferred.
• BSN in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred; RN license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality and Patient Safety program using system design, project management, quality improvement science and statistical analysis.
• Manage the organizational safety culture program and cause analysis for all event investigation types.
• Maintain the event reporting system and use its data to track and monitor trends across the organization.
• Interpret and present findings to hospital and medical staff committees.
• Assist the Director and Senior Director with strategy and vision for Quality and Patient Safety initiatives.
