AECOM is seeking a Lead Quality Inspector to be based at a client site near Sacramento, CA. This position is contingent upon an expected contract award. This position is expected to begin in January 2023.

Responsibilities:
  1. Under general direction, technically supervises quality projects or major phases of significant quality projects, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned project.
  2. Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge to the completion of significant quality assignments.
  3. Provides leadership for quality assurance and quality control support on assigned program(s) and/or areas to ensure that the project is designed, procured and installed in accordance with customer and company quality requirements.
  4. Provides leadership for new systems, development, proposals, implementation, procedures and any related quality activity.
  5. Develops and applies advanced quality assurance/control theories, as well as research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems on the forefront of new technologies.
  6. Analyzes, evaluates and plans methods of approach, as well as organizes means to achieve solution of complex technical problems.
  7. Reviews project process and evaluates results.
  8. Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
  9. Makes frequent decisions using principles and professional independent judgment.
  10. Conducts investigations and tests that are of moderate to considerable complexity.
  11. Provides technical consultation to lower level engineers, technicians and inspectors.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. Bachelors degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  2. Prior experience as a lead inspector.
  3. Must be able to pass client background screenings.
  4. Certified completion of a professionally accredited Quality Control Management Course (e.g., conducted by the US Army Corps of Engineers or an independent private company) within the last five (5) years.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction preferred.
  2. Fifteen (15) years of experience as a construction inspector.
  3. Seven (7) years of experience in construction practices, procedures, and testing, to include three (3) years of quality control management of DoD construction projects.
