Northrop Grumman in Goleta, CA seeks a Quality Engineer at Level 2 or Level 3 to lead QA efforts across programs, including audits, process improvements, and supplier coordination. The role is 100% onsite with a 9/80 schedule and every other Friday off.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with program leadership, and drive root-cause investigations to resolve complex quality issues in space systems.

• Demonstrated expertise in QMS (AS9100/ISO 9001).
• Root cause and corrective action leadership experience.
• MRB, inspection planning capabilities.
• Data analytics to identify defect trends and mitigations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

• Lead quality assurance activities for assigned programs, including audits and supplier assessments.
• Develop and implement quality plans, inspection procedures, and process improvements.
• Serve as technical SME to engineering, manufacturing, and support teams.
• Analyze trends in product quality and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee MRB activities and root-ccause tools usage.
• Support design reviews and failure investigations with cross-functional partners.
• Mentor junior quality engineers and interact with customers/suppliers.
