Job summary

Siemens Smart Infrastructure is launching a brand-new manufacturing facility in Wendell, NC, seeking a Lead Quality Engineer to establish and embed world-class quality standards from day one. You will guide processes across assembly lines, drive risk assessments, and lead CAPA initiatives leveraging PFMEA/DFMEA, 8Ds, and Ishikawa diagrams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Quality Engineering within manufacturing.
• Proven expertise in implementing and optimizing quality processes using automation.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to mentor multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with PFMEA/DFMEA and CAPA processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key quality leader during the launch of the new facility, integrating AI and automation into manufacturing processes.
• Instill a customer-focused mindset across all assembly lines.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive Quality Plans for the lines.
• Lead production quality planning and design quality into takt, flow, and capacity models.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis and CAPA using methods like 8D, A3, and Ishikawa diagrams.
• Develop and implement rigorous quality standards for all stages of the lines.
• Reduce nonconformances and monitor KPI improvements at the site.
