Job summary

Carlton Industries Corporation (CIC) is seeking a quality inspector to conduct detailed inspections of PCBs, box builds, and cables, ensuring adherence to IPC standards. The role requires reading complex drawings, BOMs, and documentation, with training provided and potential cross-training across departments.

Ideal candidates will have IPC-A-610 and AS9100D/ISO 13485 familiarity, strong English comprehension, and meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting English documentation and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610, IPC J STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards and ESD.
• AS9100D/ISO 13485 quality management system principles.
• Ability to read BOMs and work instructions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and instrumental inspections of assemblies to determine acceptability based on criteria.
• Know SMT and through-hole assembly methods.
• Perform first piece and final inspections per customer/IPC requirements; document results.
• Identify components on PCB using silkscreen markings and design docs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Document inspection results and nonconformances.
