Job summary

Hooper Corporation is seeking a QA/QC Technician to develop and manage the Quality Assurance/Quality Control program for mechanical construction projects. You will provide technical leadership to ensure compliance with codes and client expectations on site.

The role emphasizes on-site inspections, documentation, and coordination with project teams and third-party inspectors. A strong engineering background and 5–10+ years in construction quality are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 5–10+ years in construction quality management (mechanical systems).
• Certifications such as CWI or ASNT Level II/III preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, IPC, UPC, NFPA, AWS, SMACNA.
• Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, ACC and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC plans for mechanical construction projects.
• Lead inspections from prep to follow-up across all work phases.
• Mentor on-site QA/QC personnel and manage quality teams.
• Identify quality trends and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and documentation of quality records.
• Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies and report findings.
• Lead weekly QC meetings and provide written progress reports.
