Algood Food Company is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor in Lawrenceburg, KY. This role leads the QA and Microbiology laboratories, supports the Food Safety and Quality management system, and collaborates with other departments to drive corrective actions and improve product quality.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in food science, 3–5 years in food manufacturing, and 2 years of laboratory experience, with HACCP and SQF familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• 2 years laboratory experience required.
• HACCP training certificate; SQF practitioner preferred.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct all product testing, ingredient testing, environmental testing, and process verification activities.
• Troubleshoot issues in the laboratory and in the production process where applicable.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and perform preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Train new technicians and manage department staffing and performance evaluations.
• Support implementation and audits of the FSQMS; review records and facilitate corrective actions.
