Job summary

BD, a global medical technology leader, seeks a dynamic Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to coordinate onshore and offshore QA teams and drive high-quality software solutions for customers. You will mentor QA engineers, shape test strategies, and lead automation initiatives across distributed vendors, leveraging AI‑driven approaches to improve efficiency and product reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in general Software Quality Assurance.
• 6 years of experience in SDET or automation-focused roles.
• Experience acting as a QA lead or key contributor on complex, cross-functional projects.
• Strong hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and modern testing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance and mentorship to QA engineers and SDETs, supporting their technical growth and delivery effectiveness.
• Act as the primary QA point of contact for assigned projects, ensuring alignment across teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure clear, testable requirements and shared quality expectations.
• Define and execute test strategies aligned with project scope, timelines, and delivery goals.
• Plan and estimate testing activities to ensure efficient execution and adequate coverage.
• Oversee execution of manual and automated testing across functional, regression, and integration areas.
• Drive adoption and implementation of test automation, improving efficiency and consistency.
• Maintain and enhance automation frameworks, tools, and scripts.
• Leverage AI‑driven tools and modern testing techniques to optimize test design and accelerate automation development.
• Implement environment promotion practices for automation assets.
• Track, prioritize, and manage defects through their lifecycle.
• Analyze quality metrics and perform root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
