Job summary

Heady LLC in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a Lead QA Business Analyst to own testing of a cross‑platform, custom e‑commerce raffle system. This hybrid role requires two days per week in the DUMBO, Brooklyn office and a strong ability to translate BRDs into actionable test work.

You will lead QA strategy, coordinate across client, vendor, and internal teams, develop test plans, and drive release readiness with TestRail, Postman, and Salesforce OCAPI expertise. 40 hours/week, 9:30–5:30.

Qualifications

• Agile software development and backlog management (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Experience working across different time zones, including offshore teams.
• Familiarity with consumer-facing mobile apps release management and analytics.
• Experience with API testing using Postman, PAW, RapidAPI, and Charles Proxy.
• Experience with Salesforce OCAPI and TestRail.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute the testing strategy for a cross‑platform system, including full‑stack and API testing.

• Coordinate test data acquisition and prioritize defects by business goals and release timelines.
• Translate BRDs into epics, tickets, and FSDs; support testing and release coordination.
• Write clear acceptance criteria and maintain release notes, FSDs, and feature docs in Confluence.
• Conduct competitive and feature analysis to identify gaps and propose quality improvements.
• Write thorough test cases and manage test execution with TestRail; coordinate with PMs and dev teams.
• Support onboarding of new team members and provide on‑call coverage via ZenDuty.

Job Requirements:

Heady is looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Lead QA Business Analyst to join ourteam. In this position, you will own the quality assurance and testing of a cross-platform, custome-commerce raffle system. You will be expected to coordinate across client, vendor, and internal teamsto run thorough testing of our system for ongoing feature development. To be successful in this role,you will need to be proactive in coming up with solutions to not only improve the quality of ourproduct, but also our testing process overall. The role is based in New York, NY, with a hybrid workmodel (Tuesdays & Wednesdays in the DUMBO, Brooklyn office).

What You’ll Do:

• Create and execute the testing strategy for an online raffle and inventory management system,including full-stack and API testing to independently uncover the root cause of issues.
• Lead weekly QA meetings and cross-functional standups, managing ticket assignments andkeeping teams aligned on priorities and blockers.
• Coordinate test data acquisition across teams and manage defect prioritization according tobusiness goals and release timelines.
• Translate business requirements documents (BRDs) into epics, tickets, and functionalspecification documents (FSDs); support testing and release coordination through featuredelivery.
• Write clear, well-structured business requirements and convert them into detailed acceptancecriteria.
• Initiate and maintain documentation — including release notes, FSDs, and featuredocumentation — in Confluence.
• Conduct competitive and feature analysis to identify experience gaps and propose solutions thatimprove product quality and the overall testing process.
• Diligently identify edge cases and write thorough test cases; manage test case execution andtracking using TestRail.
• Coordinate across the software development team and with Product Managers to test new andexisting features.
• Contribute to backlog planning and participate in Product Manager-level strategic discussionsand workshops.
• Help onboard new team members, orienting them to relevant tools, systems, and processes
• Support holiday readiness and provide on-call coverage via ZenDuty for emergency applicationsupport.
• Coordinate with client, vendor, and internal stakeholders — both technical and non-technical — across different time zones, including with offshore development teams.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or a foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job or related field. Education, training, or experience to include:

• Agile software development and backlog management (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Professional experience working across different time zones, including with a partial or full offshore development team.
• Strong familiarity with Consumer-facing mobile applications, including release managementand distribution (Firebase App Distribution, Apple App Store, Google Play Store) and mobile
  analytics/crash reporting (Firebase).
• Experience with API testing using Postman, PAW, and RapidAPI, and proxy testing tool Charles Proxy.
• Experience with Salesforce OCAPI (Open Commerce API).
• Experience with the test case management platform TestRail.

Hybrid role must work 2 days per week at Heady office in Brooklyn, NY.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, 9:30-5:30 pm.

Salary: $107,349-$110,000 per year
