A technology consulting firm in Maryland is seeking a SAS to Python/R Migration Architect responsible for the strategy, design, and governance of large-scale analytical code migrations. This technical leadership position involves leading enterprise-scale migrations, defining target-state architectures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Candidates should have extensive experience in SAS and a deep understanding of Python and/or R, with a focus on mentoring and optimizing performance within complex analytics projects. Qualifications

• 8+ years of advanced analytics or statistical programming experience.
• 5+ years hands-on SAS development (Base SAS, PROC SQL, MACRO, STAT).
• Proven experience architecting or leading SAS → Python and/or R migrations.
• Deep expertise in Python and/or R.
• Strong understanding of statistical methods parity between SAS and open-source tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-scale migrations from SAS to Python and/or R.
• Perform detailed SAS estate assessments including code inventory.
• Define target-state architecture for Python/R analytics platforms.
• Establish migration patterns and standards.
• Design validation and reconciliation frameworks for compliance.
