Job summary

JPMorganChase, within Cloud Foundation Services, seeks a hands-on Lead Software Engineer to drive end-to-end design and delivery of trusted, scalable technology products. You will lead architectural decisions, develop backend services in Python, and own production AI applications using ADK/LangGraph.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of experience, strong API design skills, and a track record in enterprise environments, with a focus on reliability and security-by-design.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Expert Python and backend services in enterprise environments.
• Production AI applications using ADK and LangGraph.
• Experience with REST APIs, FastAPI, and SQL databases.
• Ability to lead design reviews and drive delivery.

Responsibilities

• Leads the technical design and implementation of software solutions, including system architecture and integration patterns.
• Owns hands-on delivery of production AI/agentic applications using ADK and LangGraph.
• Defines and implements API design standards and partners with consumers for usability and reliability.
• Writes secure, production-ready code (Python preferred) and supports team standards through reviews.
• Designs, develops, and troubleshoots with focus on performance and reliability.
• Builds and maintains AI quality controls and guardrails for production use; collaborates with cross-functional teams.
• Drives improvements across the SDLC toolchain (CI/CD, testing, security) to improve velocity and quality.
