Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Plano, TX seeks a Lead Software Engineer to join the Cloud Foundation Services team. You will be a hands-on technical leader delivering end-to-end design and production-ready AI applications using ADK/LangGraph and REST APIs.

You will architect, mentor, and collaborate with Product, Security, and SRE teams to ensure scalable, secure services aligned with business goals.

Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in Python and backend services.
• Hands-on production AI applications using ADK and LangGraph.
• Formal training or 6+ years applied experience.
• Strong system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience with API design using FastAPI and REST.
• Strong SQL fundamentals with PostgreSQL.
• Proficient in multiple languages and quick learner.
• Solid agile, CI/CD, security-by-design practices.

Responsibilities

• Leads the technical design and implementation of software solutions, including system architecture, component design, and integration patterns.
• Owns hands-on delivery of production AI/agentic applications using ADK and LangGraph (mandatory).
• Defines and implements API design standards and collaborates with consumers for usability and reliability.
• Writes secure, high-quality production-ready code (Python preferred) and supports team coding standards.
• Designs, develops, and troubleshoots with performance, resiliency, and operations in mind.
• Builds AI quality controls and guardrails for production; partners with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into APIs.
• Drives SDLC improvements (CI/CD, test automation, security scanning, dependency management).
• Leads technical discussions and aligns stakeholders on design reviews and delivery plans.
