Job summary

Toll Brothers in Novi, Michigan is seeking a Purchasing Director to oversee vendor and subcontractor relations and manage all related contracts within the division. The Senior level cost strategist will develop, negotiate, and execute local vendor agreements, ensure compliance with national purchasing policies, and support pricing strategies across trade categories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or Supply Chain Management.
• 7–10 years of contracting and negotiating residential homebuilder contracts and/or supply chain experience.
• Experience managing a team in a purchasing function.
• Solid knowledge of residential building plans and materials.
• JD Edwards ERP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee purchasing staff and manage relationships with local trade partners, manufacturers and distributors.
• Develop, negotiate, and execute local vendor agreements for all trade categories.
• Drive cost savings through strategic sourcing and value engineering in collaboration with design and planning teams.
• Ensure compliance with national purchasing policies across the division.
• Monitor contract performance and support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
