Job summary

Baltimore County is seeking a Pump Station Electrician to perform complex electrical work in water and wastewater facilities. The role leads and trains staff, troubleshoots electronic components, and maintains critical power and telemetry systems.

Required licenses include Baltimore County Master General/Master Limited Electrician or Statewide Master Electrician, plus three years of relevant experience. A background check will be conducted, and proof of licenses is required.

Qualifications

• Possession of Baltimore County Master General or Master Limited Electrician License or Statewide Master Electrician License.
• Three years' experience in duties described above.
• Registration as Master Electrician in another jurisdiction eligible for Baltimore County reciprocity.

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains electrical and electronic equipment and controls in water/wastewater facilities.
• Performs tests on equipment using multimeters, testers, oscilloscopes, and related tools.
• Supervises and trains lesser skilled workers in high voltage electrical work and testing.
• Maintains telemetering equipment, emergency power supplies, and tower equipment for mobile radios.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Reviews operating reports and makes recommendations on replacements/repairs.
• Keeps records as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
