Job summary

HDR is seeking a Pumpstation and Pipeline Team Lead in California to direct the design, rehab, and construction of drinking water and wastewater facilities. You will mentor a multi-disciplinary team, coordinate with owners and clients, and lead project delivery from planning through construction.

The role emphasizes leadership, project management, QA/QC, and collaboration within HDR’s employee-owned culture. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• Professional registration, license or certification may be required.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Good leadership and organizational skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a PSPL team within the PSPL Business Class.
• Manage workload and adjust staff assignments to deliver quality products and timelines.
• Provide oversight and mentorship on projects.
• Lead engineering and project coordination, and write specifications.
• Support hiring initiatives for the PSPL Business Class.
• Coordinate services with other sections and stakeholders.
• Lead QA/QC procedures and training as established by BC leadership.
• Mentor junior project managers to aid professional growth.
• Be active in recruitment and hiring.
