Job summary

HDR is seeking a Pump Station and Pipeline Engineering Team Lead in California to lead a multidisciplinary team on water infrastructure projects, including pumping stations and pipelines. You will mentor staff, manage workloads, and coordinate design work, while engaging with clients and supporting business development efforts.

The role requires strong leadership, project management, and knowledge of water utility design.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years of engineering experience with water infrastructure.
• Experience leading design of drinking water/wastewater/pipeline projects.
• California-specific design and condition assessment experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support the PSPL team and manage staff workload.
• Provide oversight on projects, coordinate design and specifications.
• Participate in business development and client interactions.
• Support hiring initiatives for the PSPL group.
• Coordinate services with other sections and ensure QA/QC.
